On February 21, 2026 , Trurium Trucks wrote a new chapter in the history of Brazilian skateboarding. More than just a product launch, the event held at Skateshop Day was a celebration of a cultural and economic movement that reinforces the importance of independent skateshops as pillars of the scene.
Check out the highlights of what happened in this historic event in Ribeirão Preto:
Pre-release of the X-Light Pro Samuel *Black Edition
The event marked the pre-launch of the Trurium Trucks X-Light Pro Samuel Jimmy Black Edition , endorsed by the professional skateboarder.
Samuel Jimmy . The product, which boasts a sober yet strong aesthetic, was developed to embody a story built on the real-life experience of Brazilian street skateboarding. Every detail of the truck reflects the values of durability and performance that connect the athlete and the brand.

A Physical Legacy for Ribeirão Preto
True to its commitment that skateboarding comes before the market, Trurium, in partnership with MKD Skateshop and the Ribeirão Preto Skate Association (ADCS-RP) , delivered a complete revitalization of an iconic spot in the city:
Urban Revitalization: The bandstand in Rômulo Morandi Square has been completely renovated and painted.
New Maneuvering Areas: New areas were created to ensure continuity between the old and new skateparks, expanding the possibilities for local skaters.
Maintenance and Aesthetics: The handrail was painted black, and the area was cleaned and the grass was cut.
This intervention left a lasting legacy for the population, preserving public property and transforming the place into a better space than it was found.
Competition and Street Culture
To kick things off, we held a Best Trick competition , which included:
Awards: Distribution of cash prizes and products for the skaters who excelled at the new skate spot.
Atmosphere: The event featured the direct participation of Samuel Jimmy , as well as a professional announcer and DJ to set the rhythm of the session.
Access: The event was completely free and open to the public, promoting the positive use of urban space.
Skateshop Day 2026 wasn't just a date on the calendar; it was a milestone of belonging and permanence. The union between Trurium Trucks, Samuel Jimmy, and MKD Skateshop reaffirmed that the future of skateboarding is built in a solid, authentic, and collective way.
